The Mrs. just received an acceptance letter from her number one grad school program! I’m quite proud and very happy about it. She also picked up a screw in a tire. Net gains, I’d say it’s a pretty good day so far.

Update: The screw didn’t puncture the tire. Just a lil guy in a block of tread

i am about to cook the most basic of dinners.... mashed potatos baked beans and fish fingers... coz fuckit... sometimes quick and simple and hot is all you need for a meal

other than that ive been to the bank to get some cash and request a new pin pass (i snapped mine in half accidentally) and have been having fun pretending i dont understand cash since... how quaint.. i hand you paper for my dinner suplies.. you hand me back little metal discs

Indeed! She’ll actually get to drive the Miata this evening and I’ll be checking out the screw in the CX-5. So far it’s holding air - so it’s either perfectly in the tire or a tiny screw that hasn’t actually done anything

I offered them the option of going to the zoo - still cold, but sells hot beverages. They were unanimously in favor of hiking. Thankfully we’re looking at 45 and sunny out.

I have a small collection of screws and nails I’ve picked up while walking the dog. If they’re in the road I just throw them in my coat pocket and they end up in the junk tray by the door. Better than my tires, I guess.

screw turned out to be tiny enough in the end, so the tires survive for another day of commuting
